About Floating Dock Supply, Inc.

Ed Thompson, President of Floating Dock Supply, has worked in all aspects of the marine industry over the last 30 years. From 1973 to 1988 he was Owner/ Director of Operations of Canyon Lake Marina located in the Texas Hill Country. From 1989 to 1992 he served as the "Marina Account Executive" for Lloyds of London's and Alexander and Alexander of Texas' exclusive comprehensive marina insurance portfolio. Since 1992 he has been Southwest Regional Manager for Floating Dock Manufacturing, Inc. specializing in the layout, design, engineering, permitting, construction and installation of floating custom private docks and full service marina projects.

Denny Gaughan of Floating Docks Manufacturing, Inc. and Ed saw the need and demand nationally for marina owners and independent dock contractors to procure "quality" floating boat dock components and accessories, founding Floating Dock Supply, Inc. in the Fall of 2002.

Ed is a 30 year active member and Associate Director of the Marina Association of Texas (MAT) and was presented with their prestigious "Friend of the Industry" award in 1997.

He is a 1973 graduate of North Texas State University with a BA in Management / Marketing. He resides in New Braunfels with his wife Starlyn. They have two sons, Justin and Shawn, that attend Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Both sons also are members of the Trinity Tiger football team.
